Registrations for 2018 season are NOW OPEN for all age groups

Active Kids Discount Voucher ($100 discount)

The NSW Government will provide a $100 voucher to parents/guardians of school enrolled children to be used for registration and participation costs for sport and fitness activities. Every child (4.5 - 18 years’ old) enrolled in school (incl. home schooling) from Kindergarten to Year 12 will be eligible for an Active Kids Voucher. You can use this voucher to reduce your football fees with Curl Curl Youth Club by $100 per eligible child. Or you can use it for another sporting activity if you prefer.  It can only be used once in 2018 and is not refundable.  It cannot be split between sports.

From 31 January 2018, parents/guardians/carers of an eligible child resident in NSW will be able to download vouchers from the online platform at service.nsw.gov.au (Active Kids) or at any Service NSW Centre and receive a voucher number. When you register your child on MyFootballClub you will be able to reduce the total invoice amount by $100 by entering the voucher number where indicated on the Invoicing screen. Registrations

Payment must be made in full at the time of registration by credit card online or in person by cash or cheque at our Club Information Day (Feb 3, 2018 from 1:30pm to 5:00pm).  You are not registered and cannot play until the club registrar or treasurer receives full payment. As grading begins early February (where applicable), some age groups may close to registrations mid-February.  It is advised that you register early to avoid disappointment.


All Mixed Teams play on Saturdays, and the Girls-only competition is on Sundays. 

Mixed Comp commences: 7th April

Ladies/Girls Comp commences: 8th April

GRADING – where required 

Individual grading for players from U10s and up will commence in early February.  

Please click here for information about dates and times.  There is a small chance these dates may change but notice will be given by your age coordinator. Please continue to check the web-site for any changes. 

Grading sessions will be held at the Adam Street ground, across the lagoon from Abbott Rd.  For more information regarding the Club’s Grading Philosophy, click here.

 

TEAM FORMATION 

Age coordinators will be in touch via email to advise of team formation and election of team managers and coaches as required.  If you have a request for a particular team, please note that as a 'play with' request during the registration process and where possible we will do our best to accommodate this although there are limitations that must be observed. Team formation may not be fully completed until early March. Contact details for age coordinators are under ‘Our Club / Committee Members’.    

Please consider being a Coach, Manager or Referee for a team, as the club can only function with your assistance.

 

GAME FORMAT

Our Juniors continue to play small-sided games.  The concept aims to try and give younger players more touches of the ball and thereby increase both their enjoyment of the game and their skill development. 


U6 & U7 -  4-a-side, no goalie, with each team comprising two squads of five or six players to play against opposition teams simultaneously. The MWFA region will be broken down into zones for the 6s with our team’s only playing teams from 4 or 5 other clubs within our zone, which reduces the travelling.  

U8 & U9 - 7 a side on mini-fields.

U10 - 9 a side on three-quarter fields.  

U11 ideally will be playing 9 a side on full field from penalty area to penalty area with portable goals. Although in reality some games are scheduled onto the U10 pitch due to field shortages across the Northern Beaches.

U12 & up - 11 a side on a full pitch.

Boots, shin pads etc can be purchased from a number of sporting stores on the Northern Beaches.
